The below information will help you with the next steps to take whether you are currently receiving Social Security benefits or you are not yet drawing benefits.

Not Drawing Social Security Benefits?

  1. If you are new to Medicare and not drawing Social Security Benefits, 3 months prior to your eligibility date, YOU MUST SIGN UP IF YOU PLAN TO — USE MEDICARE BENEFITS either online at www.socialsecurity.gov, in person at your local Social Security office, or by calling Social Security at 1-800-772-1213.  (You have a 7 month window to do so; 3 months prior to your effective date, during your eligibility month and 3 months after your effective date).

  2. The average Medicare Part B premium is $134.00* for 2018 and could increase every year by approximately 5%.

  3. Choosing a Medicare Option (Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage Plan, Prescription Drug Plan) is easy, but choosing the right option can be difficult. Call us at 770-514-0589  for your free needs analysis which includes:

    • Checking your doctors to see which Medicare plans they take

    • Checking your medications to ensure they are covered

    • Checking to see which extra benefits are most important to you

    • Checking to see which plan will best fit your budget

  4. We’ll take it from there and schedule a personal session with you to discuss our findings, narrow down a plan that’s best for you, and thirdly, get you enrolled.

  5. Once you’re enrolled, that’s it; you have us as your advocates for the long haul.  We periodically check in with you to ensure your continued satisfaction.  Annually, we check to see that your current plan is still a good fit for you; if not, we present other options that may be better suited as your needs and/or current plan may have changed.
